I'm sorry we let the rivers all run dry.
I'm sorry we poisoned the earth sea and sky.
If only we could see the fault in what we'd done,
Then maybe we could join our minds and think as one,

And maybe you could have a chance,
Together you could all advance
And set the standard for those in time.

Because we're one thousand miles,
One thousand years apart.
Will we still have the same old sickness in our heart?

Accordingly we could not see our failings yet.
Decidedly, what we truly feared, we met.
When we were done did we miss for whom we prayed?
Was it someone that we killed along the way?

Now its a possibility, what we believed we'd never see,
Is now a burden for future life.
